Q: How long does it take to receive my bag after placing an order?

A: Timeframes are listed under each product. Please understand everything is made-to-order by one designer. Typically it can take 1- 2 weeks before shipping, sometimes sooner.

Q: Do you really make all these items in your shop?

A: Yes. Everything is designed & constructed my Treasure of Nikki&Mallory. At this time, there are no manufacturers involved and no assistance. I create each pattern piece from scratch and build your bag from that.

Q: What type of leathers do you use?

A: Majority of the leathers used is vegged tanned leather. Vegetable tanned leather refers to the tannage, or method of tanning the cowhide into leather. It's called “vegetable” because of the natural materials used in the tanning process like tree bark. Since vegetable tanning is a natural process, it's also eco-friendly. All leathers are ethically sourced from local leather suppliers. All left over leather is up-cycled or recycled to eliminate waste. I tend to have tons of leather scraps available. If you're interested in using them for DIY or other please contact: info@nikkiandmallory.com

Q: How is shipping determined?

A: Each packaged is calculated based on the weight of your item and packaging to determine shipping costs. All orders over $150 receive free shipping. Orders below $150 will be charged a flat rate of $8

Q: Can I get a discount?

A: Requesting a discount discredits + devalues the quality of my craftsmanship. Rule of thumb, don't ask. For any promotions or specials, subscribe to the Nikki&Mallory newsletter for updates, follow the brand via social media for day of perks OR go to Target, they always have discounts.

Q: I'd like a custom order, where do I start and what can you make?

A: I can create almost anything if you have a vision or an idea in mind. However, [Effective September 2019] custom ordering is no longer available unless it's designed from the materials in stock. Please visit the custom ordering section for more information.

Q: There's a blemish on my leather, what is that?

A: "Leather isn't perfect, it's unique". In addition, leather isn't a synthetic material created in a factory to look perfect. Each hide has a distinctive look that highlights it's natural authentic marks. Essentially, no leather piece is alike; surface blemishes and imperfections may be noticeable.
